Congratulations, Kepler

Congratulations on a beautiful launch, Kepler team!

We watched and twittered it live, along with hundreds (thousands?) of other tweeps. If you were there, leave us a comment and tell us what you thought! If you missed it, check out the NASA TV clips and/or the twitterstream for #kepler. It’s pretty amazing to watch so many reactions, from all over the world.

Planetary science captures the imagination of the world … again!

The Kepler mission was originally selected by the Discovery Program as the tenth in a series of low-cost, quick-development missions led by a single principal investigator and competitively selected by NASA through the AO process. Kepler is searching for earth-like planets around other stars.
