Call for Contributors

March 18, 2008

In just under a week, this blog has received over 800 hits.  That’s a great start, and we at the Women in Planetary Science blog would like to keep the momentum going!  We hope to publish 2-3 posts a week about women in planetary science and are open to new ideas on content, authors, and, well, just about anything!

You’ll be seeing some new faces on the site soon, as we have five contributors lined up already for regular posts.  We also welcome essays, opinion pieces, or notes from the community at large; those can be emailed to us for posting.

Thanks for visiting the Women in Planetary Science blog … and don’t forget that the email discussion list is available too, at  http://groups.yahoo.com/group/womeninplanetaryscience.

Strangely, I have not worked with that group. I am generally just, well, me and I haven’t had to fight much for women’s issues except for maternity…

I would love to keep reading and if I can contribute, I will! Can you email me?

Awesome, SpaceMom! Glad you found us! We will be writing a piece on AASWomen later this week … care to add anything about how that group has helped you or colleagues you know?

Just wanted to offer support to you folks!
I’m in the X-ray field and young stellar objects, but I want you to know you have support out here!
