Three interesting articles today, submitted for your review by Rachel Mastrapa:
- STEM Needs Diversity, by Michael Watson, senior vice president of human resources and diversity for Girl Scouts of the USA;
- Orders of Magnitude, a blog post by Female Science Professor discussing a recent PNAS article on Understanding current causes of women’s underrepresentation in science, by Stephen Ceci & Wendy Williams. This paper has been causing a bit of a storm lately; check out the discussion also over at Science Blog, A Scientist and A Woman, Wired, and elsewhere around the web;
- Lisa Belkin’s article in the New York Times that asked Do Women Shun Science?
Do these discussions apply to our field of planetary science? Why or why not?
