Sally Dodson-Robinson, one of the women highlighted in our 51+ Women in Planetary Science, was given the Annie Jump Cannon Award for her research on the formation of planetary systems and the mechanisms under which giant planets are formed in circumstellar disks around their parent stars (AAS press release).
