Review Panels

To learn how a NASA panel review works, click here and read the Guidebook for Proposers. Additionally, the Proposal Writing Workshop held annually at the Lunar and Planetary Science Conference (LPSC) and biannually at the American Astronomical Society’s Division of Planetary Science (DPS) meeting offers an in-depth introduction and, often, a Mock Panel Review to help new reviewers prepare.

To volunteer to serve on an appropriate review panel in your discipline, email the discipline scientist listed in the ROSES 2008 NASA Research Announcement. It’s best if you chose one or two discipline scientists to approach; more than that may be considered spam.

You will now want to be looking at the Program Officers’ lists in the ROSES 2009 Announcement. See entry on home page about this – volunteer via email to SARA too. An offer made right around proposal due date time is most likely to get noticed. Too early, you might be forgotten, too late, it might be too late.
